hahaz. since im quite free now, i shall blog about my top 10 unforgettable moments at the beijing olympics. ranked from favourite to not-that-favourite (so 1 is my fav la!)

1) quite obvious right? surely got something to do with guo jingjing. watching guo jingjing win gold in the 3m springboard diving event (indiv)! and seeing timothy fok presenting the medals to her! (her future father-in-law)
2) also guo jingjing. seeing her win gold in the syncro 3m springboard diving event with wu minxia. the two gold medals she won made her the best female diver in history, as she now has a total of 6 medals from the olympics, surpassing and breaking the world record for most medals set by ex-diving queen fu mingxia, who has 5 olympic medals.
3) singapore winning their first olympic medal in 48 years! congrats to the table tennis womens team for their good performance and winning a silver medal back!
4) liu xiang withdrawing from the 110m mens hurdles race. that was really a huge disappointment. i was expecting him to defend his title on home ground, but yet he succumbed to injury. what a pity. he says he will compete in london 2012, but by then he will be 29 years old. can he still compete? i dun really think so.
5)michael phelps winning 8 gold medals! he surpassed the record set by mark spitz to become the world's greatest olympian, as he is also the man with the most number of olympic gold medals.
6)usain bolt. really, he is just like a bolt of lightning. winning the 4x100m mens relay, the 100m and 200m sprint, and breaking the 100m world record. 9.69 seconds! incredible. and it could have been faster, just that he was celebrating at the end.
7)china's table tennis clean sweep in the table tennis womens and mens team and singles event. they are incredible, winning all the table tennis gold medals on offer. and sweeping all three medals in the singles events for both the women and the men.
8)tao li breaking the asian record in the 100m butterfly and becoming the first singaporean to get into a swimming final. 57.54 seconds! thats her record! pro la! so fast!
9)the opening and closing ceremony of the olympics. it was a super-duper grand event! really, very artistic and grand, esp when Li Ning went to light up the torch in the opening ceremony. china's olympic planning commitee really did a good job. theres pressure on london 2012's planning commitee!
10)to all participants of the beijing olympics 2008, for their great sportmanship and sprit, as well as for putting such a great show for us. you are all winners!

as such, it has been 3 days since the curtains of the beijing olympics 2008 were put down. good show beijing, you made all the chinese proud by putting in so much effort into creating this successful games. it was really 16 days of pure enjoyment and the greatest sportmanship! ok, it will be 4 long years to wait before london 2012.....so over to you now london! one world, one dream, let us live in harmony, forever friends. beijing 2008, you will always remain in my heart!
